I caught myself saying
several times that whether I was to be made to choose I would definitely choose
God. That if I was to give my life for Jesus I wouldn’t even blink. And maybe
many of you thought the same!
I have to admit that I
dropped the small things that had to be done in Jesus’ name but in the same
time I hid under the cover of “if the case, I will die for Him!” But you know
what, that verse in Luke 16:10 says that: “He who is faithful in what is least
is faithful also in much.” It bugged me a lot when I discovered the verse,
because it ruined my own theory about what being faithful really means.
My point is that we
stopped doing those small things trusting that when the time comes we will
definitely do the big things. The Bible says different! No matter how well we
know ourselves or how much we trust ourselves it’s clear: if we want to be
faithful in much, we need to be faithful in little first! So we need to take
the baby steps … believing that one day the King Himself will come and say “Come,
you blessed of My Father…” I want to be one of those blessed!
Not all of us will get
to be martyrs. Not all of us will get to suffer and die for the faith. But all
of us can be those people working together for the Kingdom of our beloved
Father. Die for Jesus might not be that hard – you only get to do that once,
but truly living for Him – that’s the challenge!
So, I want to make
this a statement: I want to start being faithful in the least so I could be
faithful in much. And if God decides that He wants to test me through other
ways, I only wish I would be prepared!
Baby steps …
